It was a little less effective on shag carpets where it struggled to reach dirt and dust that was embedded in the fibers. It was capable of navigating the legs of chairs, tight spaces, and the bottom of an wooden IKEA step stool. It was a little slower on bare flooring but it was able to recover speed and was more efficient than the other robots we have evaluated.

The IQ is a better choice over the iRobot Roomba 694 for most uses. It has a larger dustbin and lasts longer on a charge and does a better job of maneuvering itself over obstacles. It also has a mopping attachment that can tackle sticky messes. The iRobot however, feels better built and has fewer parts that require maintenance or replacement and has lower cost per year, and can create virtual no-go zones using its companion app. It can continue cleaning where it left off, even if the battery runs out before it's finished. The iRobot can also be controlled with voice commands, which is an advantage for many users.

You can then manually guide the device around the obstacle and get it to work again.

Another excellent aspect of the eufy 11S is its BoostIQ mode that lets you set the robot to automatically adjust its suction power to match the type of floor and level of dirt. It's also easy to use the remote to direct the 11S to where you'd like it to move.

Single Room Mode is a great option if you have little furniture in the space you want to vacuum. The eufy will spend up to 30 minutes cleaning the space it is assigned.

Edge Cleaning is another option that can limit the time that is spent on each area to just 20 minutes. This will increase the battery's life. If you select this option the eufy moves in a spiral fashion taking care of edges and corners for an efficient clean.
