The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great option if you're seeking a robot vacuum and mop that is priced in the middle. It offers a great mopping experience, but it lacks the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

During tests, it was able remove pet hair and dry oats from medium-pile carpets. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't use LIDAR to map out your home.

1. IRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the best-rated robots. It comes with a variety of features and impressive cleaning power, including the dirt compartment integrated into the base of charging. This robot can recognize your habits of cleaning, and suggest automated schedules that will give you an effortless cleaning experience.

It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once the system is in place you can begin the cleaning automatically with just one button click. You can opt for a general clean that prioritizes the removal of large debris such as cereal and rice or go for two thorough mappings of your area to ensure your entire home gets a proper look.

This vacuum works well on both floors with no carpet and carpets with low pile. It can remove pet hair and also suck big objects up. It doesn't lose suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with high-pile carpets or plush carpets, but iRobot says that future models will be more efficient.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that is focused on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that uses flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes this will allow it to fit into the furniture and walls. It's a nice improvement over the standard hockey puck shape of most robovacs, though we found it to be only incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims that the S9+ comes with a superior filtering system that blocks tiny dust particles and allergens from circulating within your home. It's a nice claim, but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price cost.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors to keep track of the layout of your home and vSLAM to map your interior. This allows it to stay clear of obstacles like staircases and other barriers, and to tidy up your entire house in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and schedule cleaning times, as well as establish virtual boundary markers, so that it knows to avoid areas that require more attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robot that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those on more expensive models. And its mopping system is even better as its spinning pads scrub your floors much more efficiently than the vibrating pads.

The only downside is that it lacks a second rubber brush for deeper cleaning, but that's an affordable cost to pay for if you want to get one of the best robots available. For the mopping device, I was awestruck with its ability to scrub off tough dirt from my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest that are less aggressive than the high-powered ones, create very little noise, which allows you to work or even watch TV without distraction. If it encounters the wall or a furniture piece, it gently bumps into it and moves along.

The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that automatically moves physical trash to the bin hidden in the background, as well as washes and dry mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app is good at nagging you only when something is in need of attention, like the clean water tank running low or a scheduled vacuuming session having been canceled because of a full dust bin.

You can also combine or create actual rooms to alter the way Q Revo manages your home. That's a handy feature if you have multiple areas of your home with different flooring materials or if there's a lot of clutter that must be cleared out frequently, such as toys, clothes and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, removing debris from carpets as well as hardwoods in its first run. It is able to vacuum up wet spills. I suggest drying the area with a towel prior to sending it in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo that has all the features you could need. It has the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It's similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with an automatic cleaning station that washes and cleans the mop pads to keep them clean and ready for reuse. This version is more efficient than the X1 because it charges more quickly and can clean 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a bigger and more robust dust bin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that is functional even if you are not at home. It also has more mopping modes and an intelligent routing feature that gives it the flexibility to clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead just following a specific route.

The X2 Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we've tested because of its mop pads that rotate to remove tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming capabilities are excellent as well, and it boosts suction when it detects carpets to ensure that it does the job well. It also has a huge battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as efficient as any we've seen in an ordinary robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a high-end model that has a range of features that aren't often found on robots of this price. It can create precise floor maps and recognize different types of flooring. It's also one of the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. But while these functions are nice to have but they also make the L10s Ultra more in the category of luxury and could mean it's somewhat more expensive than the average homeowner need.

Created to resemble a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim machine with an elegant white finish accented by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine features a large bumper that protects the furniture and vacuum cleaner when you are moving around your home. Behind the pane at the front is an additional navigation technology that is comprised of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, there's one button that basically is a switch for on and off. This button will activate the vacuum. Clicking it again will turn it off and transmit it back to its base station. The circular menu in the center of the control panel allows users to select cleaning options or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons will allow you to access the settings in the app, where you can alter the way the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technology to map out your home. Its mops are also quite efficient, clearing 98.4 percent of the debris that was found on our tile, wood, and carpet tests. However, it wasn't as efficient in dealing with sand on the hard floor and quaker oats on the carpet.
